The Strokes is an indie rock band who comes from the heart of N.Y. All of the members of the band, Nick Valensi, Albert Hammond Jr., Nikolai Fraiture and Fabrizio Moretti, befriended the frontman, Julian Casablancas, at a young age during different points in their lives. By a stroke of chance, they all remained friends with Casablancas who finally convinced them all to form a band together in the late 1990s. The Strokes released their first album just three years after they formed, and Is This It was immediately met with critical acclaim.
