Canadian singer-songwriter Ruth B burst onto the pop music scene with her award-winning single "Lost Boy." After supporting Alessia Cara on her Know-It-All Tour in 2016, the Edmonton native embarked on her own headline tour of the U.S. and Canada, entitled Safe Haven Tour. She continues to tour extensively, entertaining audiences worldwide with her captivating voice and heartfelt lyrics. Ruth B's background

Born Ruth Berhe in Edmonton, Alberta, Ruth B rose to fame in December 2014 after posting a clip of herself singing a self-penned melody on the video-sharing network Vine. The clip quickly grew in popularity, prompting her to write her first full-length song, "Lost Boy." She uploaded the track to YouTube in January 2015 and released a downloadable studio version to iTunes the following month. The song went viral and attracted the attention of music lovers and major record labels alike. "Lost Boy" climbed the charts in Europe and North America, peaking at No. 14 on both the Canadian Hot 100 and Denmark's Hitlisten charts.

After signing to record label Columbia, Ruth B released her debut EP, The Intro, as a digital download in November 2015. The four-track EP debuted at No. 20 on the Billboard Canadian Albums and No. 52 on the U.S. Billboard 200 charts. It also reached No. 7 on the the U.S. Billboard Americana/Folk Albums chart. The EP was re-released on CD in January 2016.

Ruth B dropped her debut studio album, Safe Haven, in May 2017 and promoted it through her Safe Haven Tour. The album peaked at No. 13 on the U.S. Billboard Top Heatseekers Albums and No. 17 on the Billboard Canadian Albums charts. It also earned Gold certification from Music Canada. Prior to releasing Safe Haven, Ruth B dropped several promotional and commercial singles, including "In My Dreams" and "Superficial Love." The latter reached No. 38 on the Canada AC and No. 44 on the Canada CHR/Top 40 Airplay charts.

Ruth B's best-selling single, "Lost Boy," charted in several countries, peaking at No. 14 on both the Canadian Hot 100 and Denmark's Hitlisten charts. It also reached No. 19 on Sweden's Sverigetopplistan and No. 24 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The track earned multiple certifications, including triple Platinum certification from Music Canada and double Platinum certification from both the RIAA and Swedish Recording Industry Association.

Throughout her career, Ruth B has won several awards, including the Breakthrough Artist of the Year award at the 2017 JUNO Awards.
