Quebec events
Unique in North America, Quebec is a last hold-out from French colonialism. Canada's largest province and one of its most populous, Quebec maintains a Francophone culture and a distinctly European feel to its cities. This distinctly "foreign" atmosphere makes Quebec an especially exciting and almost magical destination with many unique cultural opportunities.
Quebec venues
Most of the action in Quebec is centered in its two largest cities, Montreal and Quebec City. While in Montreal, enjoy live music at venues like the Bell Centre and Metropolis, or enjoy an outdoor setting as you listen to a concert at Parc Jean-Drapeau. Quebec City, meanwhile, features local favorites such as Le Cercle, the Videotron Centre (for major touring acts) and the Grand Theatre de Quebec.
The Québecois love a good festival, and there are plenty of amazing annual celebrations including the Montreal International Jazz Festival (which is the largest jazz festival in the world) and the POP Montreal International Music Festival. In Quebec City, residents look forward to the Quebec City Summer Festival with anticipation.
Sports fans will enjoy attending a Montreal Canadiens match at the Bell Centre. Members of the NHL, the Canadiens compete regularly against many of your favorite American hockey teams. Montreal is also home to the Montreal Alouettes, who play in the Canadian Football League, and the Montreal Impact of Major League Soccer. Over in Quebec City, you may enjoy rooting for the local baseball team, the Quebec Capitales, or supporting the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
