Prince Edward Island events
It may be Canada's smallest province, but it's the most densely populated and undoubtedly among the most beautiful. Strewn with picturesque red dunes and dotted with charming lighthouses, Prince Edward Island is an ideal summer destination with lots of exciting entertainment to keep its visitors occupied.
Prince Edward Island venues
Seekers of culture will want to make the Confederation Centre of the Arts one of their first stops. This venue regularly hosts theatrical and musical productions, including some major touring acts. It's also well-known for its annual production of "Anne of Green Gables," a musical based on the book by L. M. Montgomery, which was set in Prince Edward Island. Prince Edward Island is also host to the Cavendish Beach Music Festival, Atlantic Canada's largest outdoor country music festival.
This is Canada, after all, so it shouldn't be too surprising that hockey is the main event up here in the north. And that's the main thing that Prince Edward Island has to offer when it comes to athletics! Head to Eastlink Centre to check out the moves on the Charlottetown Islanders, who play in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The Summerside Western Capitals, who play at Credit Union Place, are major contenders in the Maritime Junior A Hockey League. If university sports are more your pace, take a seat in the bleachers and cheer on the Prince Edward Island Panthers as they take the ice.
