MTELUS is an important venue in Montreal. Originally founded in 1884, this venue started life as a skating rink. Later it was a summer theater and at another, it was a cinema. Most recently, it was Metropolis, an important venue in the Quartier des Spectacles in Montreal. In 2016, telecom giant Telus announced an investment of millions into the venue for modernization. Is MTELUS accessible by public transportation?
Yes. MTELUS is located within walking distance of the Place Des Arts metro station. Montreal's metro system is inexpensive, convenient and well-kept. It's much easier to take transit instead of searching for parking near the venue.
How does MTELUS seating work?
MTELUS is a general admission only venue. There are no VIP passes, all-access passes or reservations for seating. All seating is on a strictly first-come-first-served basis. Because of this, there's no seating plan for patrons to view before purchasing tickets.
Is MTELUS an 18+ venue?
Minors are permitted to attend shows at MTELUS. Minors should be aware that MTELUS takes alcohol control seriously. Patrons are always asked for identification when buying alcohol. Anyone under the age of 18 caught with alcohol will be asked to leave the venue.

Yes, MTELUS is located in Montreal's Quartier des Spectacles. This is the heart of the city's entertainment district. MTELUS offers limited options for refreshments. This venue does serve some alcoholic beverages, but it's not a fully licensed bar or restaurant. Luckily, there are great restaurants in the neighborhood, including Chez la Mre Michel, Laloux and popular vegetarian restaurant Lola Rosa.
Can I smoke at the show?
