Majid Jordan is a Canadian R&B group, composed of members Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman. Of the group, Majid Al Maskati creates the smooth vocals, while Jordan Ullman produces the electronic beats and melodies that define the group's style. Both members hail from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Not long after starting to produce music, Majid Jordan signed to Drake's OVO Sound record label in 2011. In 2014, Majid Jordan would release its debut Extended Play (EP), A Place Like This, in 2014. Majid Jordan was its self-titled first full-length studio album, released by OVO Sound and Warner Bros. After work on the first studio album, Majid Jordan, was finished, Majid Jordan began work on its second album, The Space Between. Months prior to the launch of the second album in 2017, the Canadian duo released singles to attract interest and anticipation from the duo's growing fan base. The first single was "Phases," released in April of 2017, followed up by a music video in May of 2017. With a guest appearance by PartyNextDoor, a fellow OVO member, Majid Jordan dropped its second single, "One I Want," in June of 2017. A music video would follow for this song the month after its release. In September of 2017, the duo dropped "My Imagination," which featured dvsn as its third single from this sophomore album.
