Gramatik TicketsGramatik is the stage name used by Denis Jašarevi?. Born in Portorož, SR Slovenia, SFR Yugoslavia on October 19, 1984, Gramatik got an early start in music, getting caught by his mother at three years old listening to his sister's cassettes of popular American music like blues, soul, funk and jazz. Later, that interest expanded to include hip hop music and, at 13 years old, he began making his own hip hop recordings, sharing it over Beatport, an online music service. This helped get him on American and European listeners' radar, what Gramatik describes as his inroad to becoming a successful electronic music artist. Gramatik's catchy beats have made him a hit on the festival circuits with fans loving his hypnotic and energetic music.
GRMTKAfter moving to New York following signing with his agent, Gramatik put out Expedition 44, his first studio album, in July 2008, following it up quickly with the release of Street Bangerz Vol. 1, his second studio album, in December of the same year. The latter album proceeded to spend half a year on Beatport's Top 100 Chill Out chart. One year after his debut release, Gramatik became the first artist to sign with Pretty Lights Music, a partnership he praised because of both artists' commitment to keeping music essentially free. He even dedicated his third EP #digitalfreedom to the theme and cause of fighting proposed online censorship legislation. He later went on to found his own label, but the commitment continues. After releasing seven studio albums on his own label, Lowtemp, Gramatik started GRMTK, his own cryptocurrency, raising $2.48 million with it in less than 24 hours, using the tokens to support his intellectual property.
