With a signature sound that has influenced many young rappers that have followed in his footsteps, Future and his music have been having a heavy impact on airwaves since 2011. Born Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1983, Future is recognized as one of the founders of both the trap music and "mumble rap" music genres. Known for his hypnotic beats, often-cryptic lyrics and unique vocal delivery, Future's music takes the old adage of "sex, drugs and rock and roll" and transforms it through a 21st-century trap-music filter. Future has been nominated for several music awards, including American Music Awards, BET Awards, Billboard Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards and more. He was awarded the Best Rap Performance Grammy Award in 2019 for his performance on "King's Dead," alongside Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock and James Blake.Future Hendrix
Future released several mixtapes between 2010 and 2011. His first slice of mainstream notoriety came in 2011, with his co-writing of and guest verse on "Racks" by rapper YC. "Racks" reached No. 4 on the Billboard US Hot Rap Songs chart and No. 42 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Future signed with Epic Records in September of 2011 and began to attract the attention of many well-known hip hop music publications, including XXL and The FADER. The rapper's debut studio album, Pluto, was released in April 2012. Pluto received a generally warm reception, and a few of its singles peaked in the lower half of the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. That same year, Future began to expand his musical influence into the pop music world by writing, producing and providing vocals on Rihanna's "Loveeeeeee Song" from her Unapologetic album. His second studio album, Honest, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard US Hot 100 chart, shifting 53,000 units. Honest boasted features from many big names in hip hop, including Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa, Pusha T, Pharrell and André 3000. "Karate Chop," "I Won," "Honest," "Sh*t" and "Move That Dope" were released as singles from the album. "Move That Dope" was named No. 4 on Rolling Stone's list of the "50 Best Songs of 2014."Where can I buy Future tickets?
