Calgary Stampede Grandstand TicketsThe Calgary Stampede is the annual rodeo and festival held each July in Calgary, Alberta. As a 10-day event, it can bring in over a million visitors who want to see the animals, cowboys, stage shows, concerts and other events it's associated with. The Calgary Stampede started in 1886 when its first fair was held by the Calgary and District Agricultural Society, and it has grown into one of the largest events of its kind. The park on which the Stampede was built on expanded to also include an exhibition hall, indoor rodeo facility, and Scotiabank Saddledome, an indoor sporting arena. What types of currency are accepted at the Calgary Stampede?When you have Calgary Stampede Grandstand tickets, you'll have access to a number of vendors. Most of the businesses inside the Stampede accept credit cards, travelers' cheques, Canadian currency and US currency.
Can I drive and park at the Stampede?There is on-site parking for Calgary Stampede Grandstand ticket holders. General parking is available in surface lots north of the Stampede, and premium parking is available at the Scotiabank Saddledome parking lot, which is off of 14th Avenue near Fifth Street.
Which public transit options can I take?Taking a CTrain or bus is a great idea as the Stampede is located next to many stops. The Erlton and Victoria Park CTrain stations are on either side of the complex, and many buses run regular routes that can take you close to the entry gates.
Are the Calgary Stampede Grandstand seats wheelchair accessible?Yes, all sidewalks in the complex have been modified to be accessible to guests in wheelchairs. There are pathways and ramps that provide access to all buildings. There is elevator access to the Grandstand building at the south tower, and in the Grandstand, there are a number of areas reserved for guests in wheelchairs. A guest in a wheelchair can come to the area with one ticketed companion.
Can I bring a bag with me into the Grandstand?You may bring bags and backpacks into the seats at the Calgary Stampede. A variety of items are allowed as well, including cameras, binoculars, umbrellas, food and non-alcoholic drinks. Stampede guests are encouraged to stay and enjoy the festivities all day and into the evening, so people are welcome to bring picnic gear, strollers, wagons and other things you may need to stay happy and comfortable.
