Tickets for Live Events in British Columbia
British Columbia Events
Canada's most southwestern province, sandwiched between the Pacific Ocean and the Rocky Mountains, is British Columbia. It's a destination famous for its incredible natural beauty, which inspires outdoor activities from hiking to skiing. Live entertainment and annual festivals in BC are concentrated in its biggest cities -- the capital Victoria, located on Vancouver Island, Metro Vancouver, Kelowna, Abbotsford and Kamloops -- but smaller towns in more remote areas have plenty of enticements too. World-famous artists, renowned performing arts institutions and quirky local events all have their place in BC's vibrant entertainment scene.

BC's performing arts scene boasts major orchestral, ballet and opera companies, plus a plethora of theatrical organizations, in most of the bigger cities. Among these are the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Ballet Victoria and the Kamloops-based Western Canada Theatre.
Dozens of food, film and music festivals are featured annually throughout the province. The biggest include the 12-day Vancouver International Jazz Festival, the Kamloops Festival of the Performing Arts and the Squamish Valley Music Festival. Victoria's Rifflandia Festival is one of the biggest rock and pop festivals in Canada. Also of note is the Abbotsford International Airshow, the largest airshow in the country, held annually in August.
As in all of Canada, ice hockey is very popular in BC, where the most famous team is the NHL's Vancouver Canucks. In September the British Columbia Derby brings thoroughbred horse racing to Vancouver. Kayaking and mountain biking events are often featured in mountain towns such as Whistler.
