Matt Rife Morrison tickets

Matt Rife is a comedian and actor from Columbus, Ohio who built his career from the ground up, starting stand-up at 15 years old after performing in a high school talent show in North Lewisburg, Ohio. His comedy blends observational humor, improvisation, and crowd-work into a style that feels loose and spontaneous but lands with precision. Rife first gained national visibility as a cast member on Wild 'n Out in 2015, followed by hosting MTV's TRL reboot and competing on The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars.

Rife spent years grinding as a touring comedian before TikTok changed the trajectory of his career. Short clips of his crowd-work sets went viral, and what The New York Times once called "just another struggling road comedian" became one of the most in-demand live acts in comedy. He signed with Creative Artists Agency in December 2022, self-produced specials like Only Fans (2021) and Walking Red Flag (2023), and landed a multi-special deal with Netflix that produced Natural Selection (2023), Lucid (2024), and a 2025 holiday crowd-work special. In June 2025, Forbes ranked him 7th on its Top-Earning Creators list.

Beyond stand-up, Rife has taken on acting roles in projects spanning comedy and horror, including guest spots on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Fresh Off the Boat, That '90s Show, and the 2026 Scrubs reboot. He counts Dave Chappelle as a mentor, having performed at Chappelle's 50th birthday show at Madison Square Garden, and cites Ricky Gervais, Dane Cook, Adam Sandler, Jim Carrey, and Robin Williams among his comedic influences.
