Jorge Medina is one of the most recognizable voices in regional Mexican music. He first gained widespread attention as the lead vocalist of La Arrolladora Banda El Limón de René Camacho, the Mazatlán, Sinaloa-based banda that became one of the genre's biggest acts after forming in 1997. With his powerful vocal delivery and emotional phrasing, Medina helped define the sound that carried La Arrolladora to the top of the Billboard Regional Mexican charts and into arenas across Mexico and the United States.
During his tenure with La Arrolladora, Medina fronted albums that shaped modern banda music, from the group's early releases on Sony Music Latin through their peak years on Disa Records. Hits recorded during his time with the banda became staples of the regional Mexican scene, and the group's live performances drew massive crowds at festivals, fairs, and concert halls. After departing La Arrolladora, Medina launched a solo career that allowed him to explore his own artistic direction while staying rooted in the banda and regional Mexican traditions that built his reputation.
Medina's solo work has kept him on stages throughout Mexico and the U.S., performing for audiences who followed him from his La Arrolladora years and newer fans drawn to his catalog of romantic and emotionally charged banda tracks. His live shows carry the same vocal intensity that made him a standout in one of the most competitive genres in Latin music.
