Boston Bruins in New York tickets

The Boston Bruins are one of professional hockey's most storied franchises. Founded in 1924 as the first American NHL team, the Bruins are an Original Six club alongside the Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, and New York Rangers. Grocery magnate Charles Adams brought pro hockey to Boston, and Art Ross built the franchise's identity as its first general manager. The Bruins play at TD Garden, where the black and gold faithful pack the building for every home game.

From Eddie Shore anchoring the blue line in the 1920s and 1930s to Bobby Orr redefining what a defenseman could do in the late 1960s and early 1970s, the Bruins have produced some of hockey's most iconic players. Phil Esposito became the first NHL player to crack 100 points in a season while wearing the spoked B. Ray Bourque held down the franchise's scoring lead with 1,506 career points across 21 seasons in Boston. Patrice Bergeron logged 1,294 games and 1,040 points as one of the most complete two-way centers the sport has seen. The team has retired 13 numbers, and 54 former players have been inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Boston's fiercest rivalry belongs to the Montreal Canadiens, a matchup rooted in decades of playoff battles and Original Six history. The Bruins and Canadiens have met in some of the most memorable postseason series the NHL has produced. Game nights at TD Garden carry a distinct intensity, especially when Montreal is in town. The crowd in Boston runs passionate and knowledgeable, fueled by a hockey culture that stretches back more than a century.
